Please check our availability for bespoke cakes on my Availability Calendar
At times, we do get very booked up in advance and so we always suggest it is best to book your cake as early as you possibly can to avoid disappointment.
Our bespoke cakes start from £75.00. The prices vary depending on the size of the cake and how long the cake takes to create. Please contact us for a no obligation quotation tailored to your requirements.
Cupcakes start from £2.95 each. This price is for cupcakes with a simple buttercream rosette swirl. Cupcake toppers and other decorations are available at an extra cost which depends on the time these take to create. There is a minimum order of 6 cupcakes in any one flavour. Please contact us for a no obligation quotation tailored to your requirements.
Our Simply Cake Range cake prices are all shown on the Simply Cake page.
When you make your enquiry, if you prefer to collect your cake, please let us know and we will give you an allocated time slot for collection. We do prefer to deliver our cakes to ensure safe transportation as we are unable to accept responsibility for any cakes damaged in transit unless we are delivering them ourselves.
Delivery is free of charge within Winnersh, and £2.50 for deliveries within a 3 miles radius of RG41 5SA. We cover a very large delivery area and deliveries over 3 miles are individually priced according to the delivery postcode and miles to be covered.
We have set delivery times and these are:
Payment for cakes in the Simply Cake Range are payable in full at the time of booking.
For bespoke cakes and cupcakes, a 50% booking payment is required at the time of booking with the remaining balance payable before delivery of your cake on receipt of photos of your completed cake.
For wedding cakes, a 50% deposit payment is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance payable one month before the date of your wedding.
Payments may be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Cash payments are unavailable until further notice. Details for payment will be sent to you during the booking process.
We need as much information as possible to provide a quotation, such as the date, the occasion, the number of portions the cake needs to serve, any design ideas you may have or theme you would like the cake based around and the delivery postcode.
Absolutely! Many clients do this to ensure their order date is guaranteed, and this can be done for any date in the future that we have availability for. To do this, a £50.00 booking payment is required to secure a booking date. At least one month before the date of the booking, the design should be finalised and if there is any remaining booking payment to be paid (to take the booking payment to 50% of the total payment), this should be paid at this time. The remaining balance will then be payable as usual prior to delivery.
Our cakes are all created in a kitchen that uses gluten, eggs, milk, soya, sesame, peanuts and other nuts and as such, all of my cakes may contain traces of these allergens.
We do create cakes to vegan, egg free, gluten free and dairy free recipes, but as mentioned, traces of gluten, eggs, milk, soya, sesame, peanuts and other nuts may be present in all of my cakes.
Well, this does all depend on how large you like to cut your portions! But as a more useful guide, the guide at the bottom of the page will give you more specific guidance on this.
This is a question that is also frequently phrased as "why are bespoke cakes expensive?" and the fact is, a plain cake itself isn't usually expensive. The main and over-riding factor that adds cost to bespoke cakes is the time the cake takes to create. All professional cake decorators are working to earn a salary, which means Kerry's hourly rate is applied to each cake she creates so that she can be paid for her time, just as in any other profession. When you commission a cake from a bespoke cake maker, you are purchasing a unique piece of delicious edible art!
To price our cakes, we factor in the cost of all of the following:
Even the most simple of bespoke cakes can take 2 or 3 hours to bake and decorate to a professional standard. The most elaborate cake we have made to date took a whopping 48 hours, so it's easy to see how the costs can mount up.
If you have any other questions at all, please do contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
